IIITDM Kurnool Signs MoU with UNA Mission Group

The Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing, Kurnool (IIITDM Kurnool) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UNA Mission Group for A.P. and Telangana (APUNA). This agreement was made official with the aim to promote education on environmental conservation in the Mahanandi to Achampet region.

The MoU was signed between IIITDM Registrar S. Gurumurthy and Lingutla Jaya Ramulu, Secretary General United Nations Association of AP and Telangana, Global Lead Philosopher Chief Expert UN Vision 2045, who is the Chief Expert of UN Vision 2045, from the office of ICSTI Moscow Ministry of Russia, at IIITDM in Kurnool on Tuesday 14th Mar’2023. As per the agreement, IIITDM students will take the initiative to adopt two to three villages in the aforementioned region for five years, to teach them about the significance of protecting forests, land, and air quality.

Additionally, IIITDM Kurnool students will have the opportunity to work on research projects related to the topics promoted by the UNA Mission Group through this MoU.

The International Day for the Eradication of Poverty (IDEP) was recognized by the United Nations in its resolution 47/196 of 22 December 1992. On that day, the United Nations ensures that the knowledge, contributions and experience of people living in poverty are recognized and celebrated.
